(Anchorage, AK) – Chugach Government Solutions, LLC (CGS), is happy to welcome Tom Fortunato as Vice President of Business Development, further strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to deliver world-class solutions to government customers and industry partners.

Fortunato brings nearly two decades of executive business development, capture management, and strategic growth experience across the defense, federal, and consulting sectors. He has successfully led organizations in winning multi-million-dollar opportunities, building cross-functional teams, and driving market expansion across federal agencies.

Most recently, Fortunato served as Vice President of Business Development at Akima, LLC, where he directed growth for the company’s Emerging Markets Group in software development, cyber, cloud, AI, and data analytics. Prior to Akima, Fortunato held senior leadership roles at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), ASI Government, FedBid Inc., and Deloitte Consulting LLP, where he consistently delivered measurable growth and innovation. His expertise includes leading large capture teams, developing multi-year strategic pipelines, and establishing new market campaigns.

Fortunato is an Army veteran and holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix, a BBA in Marketing from Radford University, an AAS in Information Technology (Cloud Computing) from Northern Virginia Community College, and multiple certifications including PMP, DAWIA III, and CSCP.
