Section 508
Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for individuals with disabilities. In accordance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, Federal agencies and their contractors must ensure that electronic and information technology (EIT) developed, procured, maintained, or used is accessible to people with disabilities.
Section 508 requires that Federal employees and members of the public with disabilities have access to and use of information and data that is comparable to that available to individuals without disabilities, unless doing so would impose an undue burden.
Commitment to Compliance
CGS strives to ensure that its website, chugachgov.com, and all applicable digital content conform with the Revised Section 508 Standards and applicable accessibility requirements, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, which are incorporated by reference into Section 508.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and CGS continues to improve the user experience for all visitors by applying relevant accessibility standards to our digital platforms, products, and deliverables.
Accessibility in Federal Contract Deliverables
CGS will comply with all required Federal or agency accessibility standards as specified in the Scope of Work for each government contract or task order, including Section 508 and the Federal Information Technology Accessibility Initiative.
All EIT deliverables produced by CGS, including electronic documents, web-based applications, multimedia, and other digital materials, are developed to meet, at a minimum, all applicable Section 508 technical and functional performance requirements.
Accessibility Documentation (VPAT)
Where applicable, CGS may provide accessibility conformance documentation such as a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT®) or equivalent reporting format to assist Federal contracting officials and other buyers in assessing the availability of commercial EIT products and services that support accessibility.
Third-Party Content
While CGS strives to ensure accessibility across its digital presence, some content or functionality provided by third-party platforms or external vendors may not fully conform to accessibility standards. CGS encourages users to report any accessibility barriers encountered so that we may work toward remediation or provide alternative access.
