Chugach Government Solutions Awarded FEMA’s NDEMU Classroom & Editorial Support Services Contract

Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) is proud to announce its selection by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide comprehensive Classroom and Editorial Support Services for the National Disaster & Emergency Management University (NDEMU). This award reinforces CGS’s long‑standing reputation for delivering high‑quality technical, administrative, and instructional support to federal training environments.

Located on the National Emergency Training Center campus in Emmitsburg, Maryland, NDEMU serves as the emergency management community’s flagship institution training more than two million students annually across resident, off‑site, and virtual platforms. This broad training ecosystem increases the overall readiness posture of the United States, ensuring civil authorities can effectively coordinate with military units during disasters, homeland defense scenarios, and Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) operations.

Under this multi‑year contract, CGS will deliver full-spectrum course support, ensuring smooth execution of more than 1,500 annual course offerings and related activities. Services include:

  • Classroom and material support, including classroom setup, configuration, course supplies, signage, duplication services, and specialized support for national seminars and symposiums.
  • Information management, including evaluation processing, course folder maintenance, roster distribution, agenda development, and archiving of curriculum master files.
  • Editorial, word-processing, and accessibility services, encompassing formatting, 508 compliance reviews, transcription, proofreading, and adherence to federal and GPO standards.
  • Instructional systems design, ensuring course materials meet FEMA curriculum standards and are properly integrated into NDEMU’s Learning Management System and LCMS environments.
  • Webinar and virtual delivery support, assisting with technical facilitation across an estimated 180 virtual events each year.
Supporting FEMA’s Mission to Strengthen National Preparedness

Through this contract, CGS will play a key role in supporting NDEMU’s mission to deliver accessible, high-quality emergency management training for federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, volunteer, and private-sector partners. CGS’s integrated services help ensure continuity, accuracy, and efficiency across every phase of course delivery—from classroom setup to course evaluation to final archival.
