Chugach Government Solutions Welcomes Two Key HR Leaders: Diana West as Senior HR Manager and Sonya Kaup as Lead Employee Relations Investigator

Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) is pleased to announce two significant additions to its Human Resources (HR) leadership team. Diana West has joined in the role of Senior Human Resources Manager, and Sonya Kaup in the role of Lead Employee Relations Investigator. Together, they bring more than three decades of combined human resources experience across multinational operations, defense contracting environments, and large, complex U.S. workforces.

The addition of Diana and Sonya enhances CGS’s ongoing efforts to invest in its people and create an environment where employees can thrive. Their leadership will directly support initiatives that elevate the employee experience, strengthen organizational culture, and uphold CGS’s longstanding commitment to community and service.

About Diana West, Senior HR Manager

With more than 20 years of global HR leadership experience, Diana West has directed multinational workforce operations across 15 countries. Her background spans HR governance, DoD related compliance, complex employee relations cases, international labor frameworks, HRIS modernization, and largescale integration efforts.

Diana joins CGS after serving in several senior HR roles within the defense contracting sector, where they led distributed teams and partnered closely with executive leaders to strengthen operational scalability, compliance readiness, and international workforce strategy.

I look forward to supporting our teams as we continue strengthening HR governance, enhancing processes, and ensuring a consistent and positive employee experience across the company.”

About Sonya Kaup, Lead Employee Relations Investigator

Sonya Kaup brings deep expertise in employee and labor relations, investigations, organizational development, and culture building. Her career includes a range of senior HR leadership roles, supporting diverse and complex workforces and effectively navigating both union and non‑union environments.

Sonya is widely known for her ability to manage complex investigations with fairness and consistency while building trusted relationships with employees, managers, and cross functional leaders. Her work has emphasized employee advocacy and positive culture development.

Sonya shared, “I’m honored to join CGS and to help foster a workplace where employees feel heard, respected, and supported. My goal is to ensure fair, thorough, and transparent resolution in every investigation—while reinforcing a culture built on trust, accountability, and care for one another.”
